Manufacturing Consulting Services

Our industry knowledge goes beyond 3D printing. Wohlers Associates has helped companies develop laser scanning, 3D designs, and CNC machining solutions.

Another highlight includes testing new approaches to 3D modeling, reverse engineering, and AM for a government agency. We can help you reduce cost, save on labor, and speed turnaround through technology.

Construction is a growing application for AM. Our experts assist with the full process of the 3D printing framework: defining project paths, establishing goals, and driving implementation. We advise on RFI/RFP development for AM construction projects, as well as standards, permits, and approvals.

We also provide cost benefit analysis reporting and offer insight on how AM construction can improve operations.

Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence

Through the Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence’s Research to Standardization (R2S) initiative, research priorities are identified by the top minds in the field and are matched from the start to the standards that need to be generated to ensure the resulting AM technology’s success.

Under the leadership of the Research and Development team, the Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence partners and R2S Collaborators plan and conduct coordinated Research and Development projects, prioritized annually, and targeted to expedite the AM standards needed to address the most critical gaps in the AM ecosystem.

Since its inception in 2018, the Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence has launched over 30 Research and Development projects to accelerate AM standardization. Led by our partners and R2S collaborators, these projects seek to generate technical data required for development of consensus-based standards by ASTM committees such as F42.
